He’s performed with Joel Grey, Clark Terry, Bill Holman, John Gary, Mark Murphy, Russ Carlyle, Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, Rich Little, The Smothers Brothers, The Drifters, The Four Lads, Roger Williams, Eddie Arnold, and, most notably, for Grammy-nominated Chicago jazz pianist and vocalist Judy Roberts (www.judyroberts.com), and is featured on her two highly-acclaimed albums on the Inner City label.

Michael has studied Bass (theory and accompaniment) with Chicago-area guitarist Stu Pearce (1970-77)-(his most famous student was Terry Kath, virtuoso guitarist and founding member of the group Chicago). Studied Jazz Ensemble Techniques w/Paul Tolosko (1972-74). Master Classes w/Trumpeter Clark Terry (1975), and arranger Bill Holman (1976). Chicago-area freelance bassist from 1974-present.
